Why We Made It
Building kits
shouldn’t be
a chore.
I made Kit Builder because, like many of you, I have a ton of drum samples lying around — but loading them into Drum Machine Designer in Logic Pro was tedious. I just wanted to point it at any directory and automatically load the sounds onto the pads. I also wanted a randomize feature that gave me combinations I’d never have thought of.
It’s not perfect — it doesn’t always map the samples correctly — but Kit Builder lets you replace samples on individual pads, so you can tweak the kit just how you want it. Once you’ve built your kit, you can save it as a preset or save it to a folder for use in other drum machines.
